Hip dysplasia autumn/winter sleeping bag Butterfly
The Hip Dysplasia Sleeping Bag Vlinder is an autumn/winter sleeping bag for babies who wear a hip abduction brace, spica cast or Pavlik harness. The ecru-coloured sleeping bag, made of soft quilted muslin, is printed with cute butterflies. 🛌
Thanks to the extra width of the hip dysplasia sleeping bag / footmuff, your baby’s legs have plenty of room. It is just as long as a regular sleeping bag in the same size, so even after your child no longer needs the brace, cast or Pavlik harness, you can continue using it.
This autumn/winter sleeping bag closes at the front with a zipper. It is made of quilted muslin consisting of 70% cotton and 30% polyester (wadding).
Let your little one dream comfortably in our extra-wide Vlinder sleeping bag 🦋💤
Our hip-abduction sleeping bags are recommended by the Rijnstate Hospital, among others!
Gift tip: 🎁 Add gift wrapping to your order and we’ll wrap it beautifully for you!
Washing instructions
We recommend washing this baby sleeping bag (also called a footmuff) at a maximum of 30°C with a neutral detergent, without fabric softener. Preferably do not tumble-dry it to keep the sleeping bag in the best condition.
What is muslin?
Muslin is a light and soft woven fabric made of 100% cotton. It is also known as double gauze or hydrophilic fabric. One of the big advantages of muslin is that it's wonderfully cool in summer, breathable, and very comfortable to wear.
Muslin is extremely versatile and is used for baby clothing, children’s clothing, bath capes, dresses, blouses, as well as for baby bedding, sheets, blankets, sleeping bags, bassinet covers, swaddles, cloth nappies, and much more. It absorbs moisture very well and dries extremely quickly.
You do not need to iron muslin — in fact, you shouldn’t, as it damages the texture and reduces its absorbency.
The name muslin comes from the Iraqi city of Mosul, a historic centre of textile trading where Europeans first encountered this fabric.
